Highland Sustainable DK Yarn
100% Untreated Non-Superwash Highland Wool DK now in a special range of colors
Very happy to have this rustic DK added to our yarn bases:)) It is a mix of Corriedale and Merino wool completely untreated and sourced from sheep who roam the Peruvian highlands making a durable, woolly fabric.
It is spun by the mill to support local farmers and to promote sustainability in the region. It has a soft but rustic handle and we have dyed it in soft neutral colors which we think works perfectly with the tone of the wool.
The ideal yarn for cardigans, sweaters, colorwork, and shawls.
Semi-Solid Pick and Mix
We have always wanted to offer a pick and mix service but it was difficult to do without more hands-on deck. It is important to us to get a quick turn-around time on your order. We are delighted to say that it is now possible to let you pick your favorite base then the colorway of your choice and we will dye it the next day and ship with tracking within the week all for our flat rate postage of €9 worldwide.
This is a wonderful service for those who have researched a project, know their base and color and want to receive same batch yarns to begin making. We also have 10% off 3 skeins or more in this area to help out the cost of sweater quantities.
LITLG Publications
Over the past five years we have focused on producing a unique publication initially twice a year and now annually in Autumn to showcase what inspires our colors, patterns you can make with hand-dyed yarn and the values that we like to live by.
Full of rural photography, patterns, recipes, and interviews it is a much-loved magazine for those who enjoy slow living and appreciate the moment.
