One Skein Scarf Pattern Recommendations
We love to have a list of one skein patterns that we can dip into between knitting projects, travelling or waiting at in queues. They are easy to bring with you and a joy to wear when the weather calls for a warm neck. Check out our recommendations below and our yarn bases that would be wonderful to use.

Notes: The Sea Shawlette is a great one-skein project you can take with you on vacation. No worrying about charts or different stitch patterns. It is knitted sideways and on the bias, for a longer leaner shawlette or scarf.
Pattern includes instructions for adjusting the size and two options, one for a skein under 400 yds and one for those slightly larger skeins.

Notes: This is a small, light crescent-shaped shawl made from one skein of sock-weight yarn. Sections of garter stitch are followed by sections of simple diagonal lace, creating a defined, yet beautiful fabric.
This pattern is perfect for beginners who want to try lace for the first time, experienced knitters who are looking for a simple knit that doesn’t require much pattern reading or those looking to make a knit for a gift!

Notes: It’s a fun, quick knit and a perfect stash-busting project. The Ginger Scarf is an elegant, triangular little scarf. It comes in 3 different sizes: S, M, and L. It’s knitted back and forth, starting at the tip of the scarf. You work increases in every 4th row, until you reach the widest point at the center. You then work decreases in every 4th row until you reach the other tip.

Secret Skein by Stephanie Lotven

Notes: The Secret Skein cowl was designed for that special, stand-alone skein that you have tucked away. Using just one skein of yarn, this cowl is an uncomplicated knit and a wearable shape.
