Yarn Details

• Pattern’s original yarn: Two yarns held together — a light fingering (250m/50g, 70% cotton, 30% merino) with a lace weight (150m/25g, 100% cashmere), giving a fingering-weight fabric with drape

• Skein: 425m / 100g — 75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon
• Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm in Stockinette after blocking
• Needles: 4.0 mm (US 6) main, 3.5 mm (US 4), 3.0 mm (US 2½)

Choose Your Base

• LITLG Fine Sock (425m/100g, 75% SW Merino, 25% Nylon) — the closest single-strand fingering match, with crisp stitch definition.
• LITLG Silk Bourette (560m/100g) — new. Pure silk, made of 100% bourette silk. Bourette silk is made of silk waste created during silk processing: the short, leftover silk fibres are spun into a new yarn. It has a rustic, uneven look and is less shiny than other types of silk. This is the perfect yarn for summer tops. Knit as a single strand (~21 sts on a 3.75mm needle).

You can also substitute LITLG Bamboo Lace held double (800m/100g, ~400m effective per skein) for a smooth, silky, plant-fibre alternative with lovely drape.

• Sizes 1-6, finished bust 83.5-107.5cm: 3 skeins
• Sizes 7-9, finished bust 118-138cm: 4 skeins
• Sizes 10-11, finished bust 147.5-158cm: 5 skeins

Always swatch first. We recommend one extra skein if you knit tightly or are between sizes.
