Details: This yarn gives excellent definition and structure; the staples of the wool are not particularly long but are firm and crisp with a fluffy crimp. This makes it a fantastic yarn to create texture in a knit, wonderful for cables with an honest look and feel. It is not soft and would not suit next-to-the-skin garments, but wonderful for a rustic cardigan, slip over, gilet or waistcoat which embraces the original Aran sweater’s authentic look and feel. It could also be used in combination with finer and softer wool to create a different feel to a garment.
